Host Academy
A certification built for family hosts across Kyrgyzstan and the Silk Road world. Real hospitality, honestly assessed.
Six promises every certified host keeps
Certification means a host has been personally visited, assessed, and found to meet every one of these.
A genuine family residence — not a hotel, not a managed apartment. The host or their family lives on-site or nearby.
Home-cooked meals prepared by the host family using local ingredients. What you read in the listing is what you eat.
Every halal claim — food, alcohol-free environment, prayer facilities — is self-declared and then verified through guest reviews after every stay.
Certified hosts maintain a response rate above 80% and confirm or decline booking requests within 24 hours.
Photos are approved by the Salamat team. What you see in the gallery reflects the actual room and property — no stock images, no filters.
Certified hosts complete Host Academy modules and participate in an annual re-certification assessment every April.

Halal Verified
A separate designation awarded to hosts whose Muslim-friendly claims are consistently confirmed by guests after real stays.
Hosts self-declare features like halal food, alcohol-free environment, prayer facilities, and Qibla direction. After every stay, guests rate how accurately these were provided. When a host's halal accuracy rating stays above 4.5 across 10+ Muslim guest reviews, they receive the Halal Verified badge.
This badge is reviewed quarterly and can be lost if accuracy drops below threshold. It is not awarded based on any external certificate — only real guest experience counts.
How certification works
Certification is annual. The process opens each January and closes March 31. Every April 1, uncertified listings are paused until the host completes recertification.
Apply in January
New hosts apply through their host dashboard. Returning hosts are automatically enrolled for recertification.
Personal visit
A Salamat team member or regional representative visits the property in person to verify the listing and meet the host family.
Photo approval
All listing photos are reviewed. We check that photos accurately represent the property — no misleading angles or staging.
Assessment score
The host completes a short self-assessment module. Combined with the visit report, this produces a score out of 100.
Certification issued
Hosts who pass receive their Host Academy certificate, valid until March 31 of the following year. Their tier (1, 2, or 3) is shown on their listing.
Quarterly badge review
Performance badges (Trusted, Exceptional, Master) are assessed automatically every April, July, October, and January based on real booking data.
